Seasoned construction leader to oversee Charleston, Bluffton, Hilton Head, and Beaufort markets
February 10, 2026 (Charleston, SC) –Dillard-Jones Builders, a family-owned luxury custom homebuilder serving the Carolinas, announced today that Trae Redmond has joined the firm as Vice President of Coastal Construction, overseeing construction activities across Charleston, Bluffton, Hilton Head, and Beaufort.
A Charleston native and multigenerational builder, Redmond brings more than 25 years of experience building along the South Carolina coast, with deep expertise in custom homes, coastal construction practices, and operational leadership. In his new role, he will lead day-to-day operations throughout the Lowcountry, supporting the company’s continued growth while maintaining its longstanding commitment to craftsmanship, performance, and build quality in complex coastal environments.
Throughout his career, Redmond has led large construction teams, managed highly complex custom residential projects, and worked closely with architects and trade partners to deliver consistent results in demanding coastal conditions. He has built extensively across the Charleston area and surrounding barrier islands, earning a reputation for technical expertise, attention to detail, and hands-on leadership. Redmond has also played a prominent role in the regional building community, previously serving as President and Chair of the Charleston Home Builders Association, where he helped advance industry standards and collaboration across the Lowcountry.
