At Dillard-Jones, our homes are built stronger from the ground up. We use a G&C subfloor that’s glued and screwed over an L/720 engineered floor system, which means stiffer, squeak-free floors. The exterior walls are framed with durable 2×6 lumber, and we install top-of-the-line Sierra Pacific windows and doors for exceptional strength and performance.
We build homes that offer a quieter, more comfortable living experience. We use spray foam insulation throughout the entire exterior shell—including the roof—paired with 2×6 framing for added insulation and noise reduction. Inside, we install rockwool insulation in mid-floors and interior walls to further dampen sound between rooms and living spaces. Even the plumbing is designed for silence, with cast iron drops that prevent the sound of running water.
Safety is a top priority in every Dillard-Jones home. We include multi-point locking systems on all exterior doors and pre-wire every home for a full security system. These features work together to offer our homeowners greater peace of mind.
Our homes are also built to support healthier living. We install 4-inch Ultravation filters with UV light treatment in the air handlers for cleaner air. Every surface and finish is selected to avoid harmful emissions—no-VOC paints, prefinished floors, and cabinets finished off-site ensure there’s no off-gassing inside your home.
Finally, Dillard-Jones homes are equipped with smart technology for modern living. We wire every home for TVs, speakers, security systems, and cameras, and include smart features like thermostats and instant hot water systems for added convenience and efficiency.

This collaborative approach allows us to address any potential issues early in the process, ensuring that everyone is aligned with your vision and needs throughout the entire project.
We open a separate account for each project and never commingle funds. Unlike other builders who may combine funds into one account and hope for the best, we ensure that each project’s finances are managed separately for better transparency and control.
With over 23 years of experience as professional builders, we have a deep understanding of construction costs. By offering a lump sum, we assume the financial risks associated with the project, protecting the owner from unexpected costs and providing greater peace of mind.
In addition to complete architectural plans, our detailed specifications ensure that the builder, architect, and customer are aligned on every aspect of the project throughout the entire build. This clarity helps define exactly what you are getting.
Over the years, we have developed a comprehensive process for quality control (QC) and schedule management. This includes close collaboration with the architect and monthly visits from our Director of Quality. These visits result in detailed reports that are reviewed and followed up by our President, Tom, and the construction operations team. Additionally, we use a live schedule on BuilderTrend, which allows both the customer and our team to stay aligned on the progress and timeline of the project.
At each location, we have senior team members local to the communities where we build. Our management team travels to each site weekly to ensure everything is on track (see QC above).
