Our History

Dillard-Jones Builders has never been accused of having a creative name!  After long-time friends Thomas Dillard and Bryan Jones built a home for Thomas' family in Greer, the two decided it was time to live their dreams.  Thomas combined his business, project management, and sales experience with Bryan's hands-on building experience to create a winning business which was aptly named after the founders.  Dillard-Jones Builders was started from the ground up but quickly grew to become one of the top custom builders of the Upstate.  With several years of success behind them, Bryan opted to retire early to pursue a consulting career in 2007.  Thomas decided to maintain the Dillard-Jones name since it honored his friend’s commitment to the company.

A degreed mechanical engineer, Thomas has more than 20 years of construction, project management, sales, and overall business experience.  A native of Greer, SC, he is a hands-on leader who works directly with clients, associates, and subcontractors in all aspects of the business to ensure a consistently superior home building experience.

In 2006, Dillard-Jones Builders received a prestigious Merit Award in the Home Builders Association of South Carolina Pinnacle Awards. That
same year, the company was named a member of the Southern Living Custom Builder Program - one of only 100 builders nationwide to achieve membership in this exclusive group of quality companies.  Dillard-Jones built its first Southern Living Custom Builder Tour Home in September 2007, welcoming more than 2,500 visitors and raising thousands of dollars for Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County. The company received 5 Tour of New Homes Awards for its 2007 Southern Living Show House.

An award-winning company with a commitment to its industry and its community, Dillard-Jones Builders, LLC is an active member of the Better Business Bureau® Upstate South Carolina, the Home Builders Association of Greenville, and the Home Builders Association of South Carolina. It also is a member of the Greater Greenville Chamber of Commerce and the National Association of Home Builders.
